International Account Manager Asia - Van Luin Foods Asia Limited

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Van Luin Food Group, a dynamic intercontinental fast growing partner in the international food market.To prepare the organization for the desired expansion towards the future, the internal organization will be further strengthened. You will join a young and professional team who is motivated to face the challenges in the field. We have local offices in several countries and employ around 60 people worldwide, who are working dedicated to reach the company’s objectives. Our company covers over 15 languages, namely: English, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Portuguese (Brazilian), Mandarin, Cantonese, German, French, Spanish, Danish, Italian, Luxembourgish, Moldavian, Serbian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian and Kyrgyz.

What is your function?As international account manager you are responsible for developing and maintaining our accounts and markets (meat, fish or agricultural commodities) in either the region Asia or New Zealand / Australia.Your main responsibilities:Responsibility for commercial results within the market (target based purchasing and (cross)selling activities). Maintenance of relationship with your existing customers and producers Anticipate on new market developments and search for new customers and develop new opportunitiesFormulate financing proposalsTroubleshoot escalated problems to ensure achievement of targets and customer satisfactionClose cooperation with other business lines, both national and international, within our companyVisit and participate field related exhibitions and events (worldwide)In the role as international account manager you will be based in Hong Kong and work primarily in the Asian or New Zealand / Australian food market. You will work closely wi
th our other international account managers and will report to our Commercial Director.Who we are looking for:Bachelor or academic background related to profileA few years of international experience in trading food products, with a proven commercial track recordGood commercial, analytical and writing skillsTeam player but autonomic, hands on and no 9-5 mentality, problem solver, result driven and a helicopter viewCan deal with clients from diverse culturally backgrounds in a diplomatic wayFluent in English and native in at least one other Asian languageWhat we offer: You will be joining a well utilized and successful company, which is enterprising and daring and has an active, supportive team of colleagues and executive board.
