(Location: Singapore)Role Summary/Purpose:
This is a strategic forward planning role, working with the Programming Director to implement and execute the programming strategy of the Universal Networks International South East Asia channels.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide HQ with relevant and accurate information on daily log.
Produce 12-18 month forward plans that effectively and creatively use the allowed runs while delivering on the agreed programming strategy. Using research data and competitive information, these plans are to be designed to deliver strong ratings results and to increase brand equity
Responsible for coordinating with traffic and scheduling to ensure that the on-air promotional strategy is implemented. This includes reviewing the daily log prior to implementation
Liaise internally with other departments including contribution to 'make lists' and presentation requirements.
Liaise with the transmission facility on all aspects of presentation (includes promo delivery, holiday deadlines and graphics requirements) and be responsible as the duty officer.
Produce monthly grids that maximize the value of every single slot
Manage inventory to ensure that series are scheduled to achieve maximum impact over the license period.
Suggest creative themes and seasons for the channels that not only skillfully exploit existing stock, but also provide input to the acquisitions strategy.
Work closely with the Research Material and Marketing Functions to analyze long-term scheduling patterns.
Act as the voice for the competitive market, communication scheduling and programming trends of key competitors out to the rest of the company on a regular basis.
Work with the Programming Director to develop the brand of both channels.
Develop programming stunts based on overall pre-approved programme strategy, maximize value of the available inventory, localize the feeds and provide promotional platforms for On-Air promos, Marketing and Affiliate Sales.
Identify areas of common ground with other International Channels.
Responsibilities are not limited to the above description with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum 7 years experience in program scheduling and/or media planning, traffic scheduling
Able to fluently speak and write in the English Language.

Strong editorial judgment and a deep understanding of the Asian market.

A passion for spotting innovative scheduling trends and the skill to know how to exploit them on these channels.
Proactive, accurate, and detail oriented.
The creative flair to conceive of new scheduling opportunities and the confidence to propose them and get them agreed by all relevant departments.
Excellent communication skills and flexibility.
Ability to work in a highly detailed deadline and high stress environment.
Excellent MS Office user and experience with Vision desirable.
Experience with scheduling American fiction preferred but not essential.
