Role Summary/Purpose:
Responsible for creating, writing and producing on air promotions (in line with creative standards and in preparation for on air delivery) to effectively promote Universal Networks International flagship Universal Channel.
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a creativestyle and identity for the Channel in consultation and agreement with theCreative Director
Responsible for concept andproduction of image campaigns for Universal
Scripting, editing, musicselection and production of generic program promos, stunt promos, programlaunch campaigns and monthly highlights promos for the Channel
Oversee the production processfrom receipt of initial briefing to on air delivery.
Direct voice over talent andwork closely with audio engineers to develop a distinctive sound for theChannel
Work with Channel ProgramScheduler and On-air Co-ordinator to ensure all on-air elements aredelivered on time
Work closely with the creativedirector and Programming teams to support key initiative as well asworking with Marketing, Ad Sales, and New Media teams for creativedevelopment and support.
Maintain existing relationshipswith external providers

Qualifications/Requirements:
4-5 years previous experienceas a Promo Producer, knowledge and understanding of the entire productionprocess.
4-5 years experience on an AvidDesktop Editing System
Ability to engage in creativethinking
Ability to write creative promoscripts, expressing ideas clearly
Ability to originate, developand or follow a creative brief
A good communicator
Ability to work consistentlyunder pressure to established deadlines
Attention to detail
Able to take & understandconstructive analysis of work
Strong writing skills
Clear understanding of â˜channelbrandâ™, â˜programming strategiesâ™, â˜ratingsâ™ â˜marketing and new mediastrategiesâ™ and all other aspects of on-air branding and design.
Have a strong awareness of, rights and legal issues, thecompetitive channel set, cable industry and creative and trade trends inentertainment and technologies/new media and be able to maintain thisawareness for the position.Ability to self-edit on Mac book will be an advantage
