JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Program Manager is a customer-oriented representative who leads and directs the activities necessary to successfully complete program implementations, warranty, and maintenance support for each assigned customer. As the customersâ™ advocate within Tektronix, the Program Manager maintains total program and customer support responsibility for each assigned customer. Responsibilities include planning, organization, Systems Engineer (SE) team management and task allocation, and complete program execution to ensure timely and compliant completion of all contracts, while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
Serve as the primary focal point for all customer contact during the customersâ™ life cycles (implementation, warranty, maintenance, and follow-on expansion activities)
Review product compliance against customersâ™ contract requirements and related specifications
Coordinate and respond to customer requests while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction
Develop, plan, and schedule each program implementation; manage assigned SE team obtaining the required resources and coordinating all aspects of program implementation, such as configuration, production, integration, warranty, and maintenance activities, to accomplish the program on schedule and in accordance with contract requirements and budget constraints
Conduct meetings with customers and other Tektronix organizations as required, including the internal kick-off meeting, customer kick-off meeting and quarterly meetings with major customers
Prepare minutes and action items, as well as provide timely responses to outstanding issues
Direct and mentor the assigned SE team in implementing program requirements
Control and monitor program expenditures
Negotiate contract requirements and Service Level Agreements
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Bachelorâ™s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Minimum eight years of related experience in system engineering and Program Management with proven supervisory responsibilities in managing personnel and large implementation programs with Major High Value Customers
Experience in telephony UMTS, GPRS, VOIP and SS7 is desirable
Willing to travel up to 30% internationally
Requires computer literacy and familiarity with Windows operating systems and experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
Good communication (oral & written) and organizational skills
Candidate must take initiative and be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
Candidate must be able to work in remote locations with little supervision
