Job Responsibilities:
Preparing Budgets along with the CEO for Agri business
Manage budget and control of cost, and revenue of the operations relating to their division
Responsible for the whole operation of the trading activities from business initiation to execution but not limited to planning, organizing, addressing and managing all relevant tasks for business development
Identifying and training and coaching of successor in line with companyâ™s targeted dates for such successor to take charge.
Write and formulate job descriptions for all team members
Attract, retain and develop a constantly -trained and upgraded and motivated team.
Allocate resources and motivate team members to meet their performance targets.
Develop and Implement policies and procedures.
Introduce continuous improvements to reduce costs and improve process and efficiency
Responsible for reviewing existing operations and formulate new strategies in line with the companyâ™s objectives
Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of organization's financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals
Oversee short and long-term financial and managerial reporting
Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems and controls
Ensure that Finance Department requests are resolved and communicated in a timely manner to internal and external parties
Manage the trading Risks, and develop an internal control and reporting system to monitor the daily positions the traders have taken
Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (HR, IT and Finance), through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions
Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence
Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
Manage and direct annual budgeting and planning process for the organization's annual budget with CEO
Develop and manage of both individual program budgets, and annual budget
Supervise and coach traders and manager
Managing day to day processing of accounts receivable and payable, producing reports as requested
Assisting CEO in creating annual organizational budget and monitoring cash flow
Develop long-range forecasts and maintain long-range financial plans
Job location is in Africa
Job Requirement:
University graduate and above, preferably major in Commerce and Economics
Sufficient experience in pulses trading and other commodities with proven history of excellent trading performance
Familiar with the trading rules and methods of international mainstream commodity trade
Instinctively understand the market mood when setting prices
At least 8 years commodity trading experience in large international trading houses and having the experience of leading a trader team
Able to understand demand and supply pressures in the market
Able to think quickly and respond quickly to constantly changing circumstances
Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives
A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
Excels at operating in an fast pace, and community environment
Persuasive with details and facts, high comfort level working in a diverse environment
Able to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization, and to look at situations from several points of view
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, powerpoint
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English
