The Sales Director will be a highly motivated individual who is responsible for leading and managing thesponsorship sales force for our local andinternational seminars & conferences.
In this performance based role, you will be responsible for recruiting, training and motivating high performing sales personnel. Experience in target setting and strategy development is also vital. While the Sales Director is not expected to sell, an understanding and appreciation of the consultative sales environment (specifically in a conference related function) is fundamental, as is the ability to roll up your sleeves and lead by example when necessary. As such, the Sales Director must have atrack record as an excellent closer.
Requirements:
Experience from a conference/publishing industry is required
Recruit, train and retain a winning team
Develop strong independent Sales Managers
Forecast and deliver weekly, monthly and annual revenue targets in line with corporate objectives
Devise and monitor motivational sales commissions and incentive plans
Conduct regular sales training and sales management meetings especially in consultative selling approach
Maintain a strong positive sales culture with high standards of performance and discipline
Create, implement and enforce effective sales processes to facilitate an efficient running of the sales floor
Manage and review sales receivable margins
Interface with other global Sales Directors to benchmark new initiatives
The successful incumbentmust be willing to relocate to Singapore and lead an international sales team.
