As a Senior Project Manager, you will function as a senior member of the global team of project managers. This role will provideproject planning and project implementation services for all infrastructure components to ourcolleagues/businesses, adhering to allpolicies, processes and standards.
JOB SCOPE
Meet the overall program goals and objectives by managing infrastructure projects and sub-projects of differing sizes. These will include large Global, Pan-Region and country -specific based projects covering user communities in multiple countries.Ensure that realistic project, sub-project and quality plans are prepared and maintained.Oversees selection and appointment of services and resources to the sub-projects. Track all activities against the plans, providing regular and accurate reports to seniormanagement, project office and client managementEnsure that comprehensive project quality, and risk plans for projects of a complex nature are prepared and maintained. Motivate, monitor and control team performance against plansCommunicate information about planned projects to IT and client/user management.Working with client or user management, monitors and reports on the progress of infrastructure projects within area of responsibilityEnsure that projects are implemented in a
coherent and consistent manner, liaising as necessary with client/user management to ensure that they are compatible with the organisation's existing systems, infrastructure and strategic plans.Manage project interface into change control procedures gaining agreement for revisions to the projects from project sponsors. Actively represent the Technical Infrastructure project teams, ensuring that effective relationships are built and maintained with the business.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have 10+ years ofbroad rangeinfrastructure and IT operational project experience at a very high level of specialization (examples: network security, server consolidations, large scale roll outs, disaster recovery and call center implementations).Experience in technical project management including network implementation/deployment, desktop deployment, data center consolidation, security implementation, server deployment, operational implementationProficiency in Project Management Principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through to implementationProficiency in progress reporting methods and techniques;risk management methods and techniques; project management tools to assist inautomating mechanical tasks such as scheduling, resource balancing, and time recording
