Data Center Engineer (Sydney) - EIRE Systems Singapore Pte Ltd

In Managed Services, EIRE Systems provides day-to-day Desktop Support and Helpdesk Operations to leading investment banks.

Equipment Physical Installation : centralize all installation requests, and provide a wide range ofservices from handling deliveries, assigning rack locations, help inphysical rack/stack equipment, rack diagram updates, inventorymanagement (labels, bar-codes, rack location etc), configure managementconsole or iLo ports, taking the lead to review with MS internal teamson installation, requests network/fibre patching and coordinate with clientinternal teams and cable patching vendor
· Documentation Management:Obtain and collect all necessary documents from client internal teams andsystem integration vendors for management/operation report, includingvendor coordination, patching, tape management and available resources
· Comms Room MAC (Move/Add/Change) Management : Obtain requirement from client internal teams and/or system integrationvendors on Comms Room MAC work (such as power bars, rails, networkpanels, etc), and manage until completion
· Equipment Relocation: obtain hardware equipment list from client internal teams and/or systemintegration vendors and work with approved relocation vendor to relocateequipments from one location to another. Prepare the requireddocuments and follow the approved relocation process.
· Equipment Disposal : obtain all hardware equipment to be decommissioned from client IT teams,and work with Finance/ Business Management/Security and approved vendorfor pick-up, data wiping, and disposal
· Vendor Co-ordination : arrange onsite access and escort for vendors should it be required for installation, any project works or break-fix.
· Data Centre Power-down management: coordination with different vendors and all IT silos
· Security Guard Arrangement : assist client internal teams and/or system integration vendors to arrange data center access if required outside coverage hours
· Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) communication support: Escalate and update EDC management for any incident/issues related to M&E such as UPS and CRAC units etc.

SKILLS

· Language: Fluent in English
· Experience/Knowledge:
· Data center related work experience
· Good understanding of server installation procedure
· Goodunderstanding of data center infrastructure and its resiliency design(UPS, Generator, CRAC, cabling, containment routes, etc). CDCP is aplus
