To plan lessons andteach a class of kindergarten students (English and Maths), 15-25 students(of 2- 18 months, 3-5 year old groups) includes coordinating curriculumwith a Chinese teacher (to coordinate with an English teacher, forteachers teaching Chinese)
Plan and implementactivities as well as developmentally and age-appropriate teachingresources (e.g. arrangement, appearance, decorations, and learningenvironment of the classroom, includes the upkeep of teaching resources)to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of thechildren including promote good moral values among children
To developstudentsâ™ creativity, analytical thinking skill, spirit of learning throughdiscovery and challenges.
Ensure children arecare-given and supervised (routines like dressing, bathing, nappy-changingand napping), discipline maintained, health and safety attended at all timesfor all school activities
Communicate withparents frequently and effectively to establish good rapport
Supervise and workwith Teacherâ™s Assistant/ Infant-care assistant
Will be required tospend 1 to 2 hours a week conducting ECA or some form of activities forstudents during after-school programs (if required)
Interview andassess students' English standard and suitability for admissions as wellas evaluate and maintain records of studentsâ™ development.
Teach during thewinter camp.
Any other relevantduties assigned by the school e.g. render 1st aid e.t.c
Requirements:
Certificate inInfant/Toddler Care and Development or the Fundamentals
Certificate inEarly Childhood Care and Education (with certification in Infant /ToddlerCare) or its equivalent recognised by MCYS
Preferred Diplomain Pre-school education â" Leadership or its equivalent recognised by MCYS
For teachingkindergarten age group : At least a Bachelor's Degree and/ or a PostGraduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Education/ Teaching/ Training orequivalent.
Minimum 2 years'experience in a pre-school setting.
A valid First AidCertificate
A plus forexperience in teaching in schools with PYP programme (IB).
Proficientknowledge in child development and early education theories and practices.
Creative, strongpresentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferably anEnglish native speaker who is living in Singapore,(Chinese native speaker for those teaching Chinese must obtain a æ™®éšè¯ç‰çº§> 90marks) thosenot residing in Singapore MUST be ready to relocate to Singapore, if shortlisted.
Might be rotated onan 8-hour shift work (e.g. 7am - 4pm or 10am - 7pm etc) and some Saturdayshifts
