By working in our world class Research Design and Development department, these individuals have the opportunity to work alongside leading technical specialists and highly motivated creative people, to create products which fulfill our ambition of being truly different and better than our competitors.Our Design Engineers work within our design teams to help meet or exceed the technical specification, cost and time requirements on our products. Working alongside Design Managers and Senior Engineers, our Design Engineers are encouraged to be thoroughly hands on when developing products from Project Transfer through to manufacture.

This is what we need you to do:

Apply innovative problem solving skills to support the vision specification for new product concepts.
Implement great design and solve engineering problems to make products that meet all performance and functional criteria within demanding project timescales.
Work with research teams to integrate and develop new technology research into the final design.
To participate in design reviews with Senior Design Engineers and Engineering Managers â€" justify design detail and collaborate with other specialists.

This is what we need you to have:

At least a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience in product design or product engineering with practical knowledge of 3D CAD.
Sound understanding and knowledge of physical principles.
A strong understanding of practical and methodical design development through prototyping, testing and evaluation of results.
Knowledge and understanding of plastic injection moulding and other manufacturing methods.
A passion for engineering. Able to demonstrate how your ideas have made a difference.
Ability to plan ahead, prioritise tasks and coordinate with the work of others.
Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
Self starter - ability to work independently.
Must be willing to relocate to Sinagpore.
Ability to travel to UK for project transfer desirable.
Ability to travel to Johor Bahru for production ramp up desirable.
